London, September 1944. A nuclear device is dropped by a specially constructed Arado jet bomber where it detonates above the aiming point, London Bridge. Nine hundred thousand people are killed instantly, another million and a half before the end of the year dying due to radiation burns and disease.
Thousands of miles away in Canada deposed British Prime Minister Winston Churchill weeps as his beloved city disappears under a boiling mushroom cloud.
Back through the years, to February 1933, where newly elected German Chancellor Adolf Hitler decrees what will become known as the Nuremberg Law that finally ends the low level anti-Semitism plaguing Germany society. He gives a powerful speech to the Reichtag;
“Jews are Germans just like any other Germans, and they will be allowed to take their place in society alongside their gentiles neighbours in the fight against the Communists, the generals, the profiteers, the foreigners starving us.”
Back through the years to Austria 1907, Jewish doctor Eduard Bloch successfully treats Klara Hitler for cancer, pronouncing her free of the disease after months of intense one-to-one treatment. Klara goes on to live to see her son Adolf marrying his sweetheart Eva in 1936. Eduard is honoured by the new chancellor and made the Hitler’s personal doctor.
Forward to August 1939, Germany is on the brink of war with the British Empire and a letter arrives on the desk of Chancellor Hitler, written by one of his favourite scientists, Albert Einstein, describing the latest scientific discovery; the element uranium could be turned into a source of power that could lead to a chain reaction and in the near future the formation of a bomb powerful enough to destroy a whole port and the surrounding territories. . .
